Round up the ‘quite sad really’ week with this rare 1982 Italo classic! Yay!!

Today’s SOTD is a dark, brooding number that recalls Flash And The Pan and other strange foreign creatures.  Wonderfully subversive, its hazy, futuristic synths and vocals combine to make a perfect Italo-Disco moment.

There’s not much information about the track or its artist but I remember reading somewhere that  Blackway were in fact B.W.H – the geniuses behind cult disco tracks ’Stop’ and ‘Livin’ It Up’.  Released on the seminal Moon Label, original copies go for stupid amounts of money. I managed to get a copy ages ago and it still remains one of my astute purchases to date (I have also made plenty of not so astute purchases. Sad but true). So if you can find a copy go and buy it, but for the moment have a listen here.
