Single of the Day – Tony Esposito – Pagaia

Since it’s now officially summer, why not a lovely italo/balearic number to welcome the sunshine in? Released in 1982 by Italian singer Antonio ‘Tony’ Esposito, ’Pagaia’ has gained a cult following after featuring in many of the great cosmic DJ Daniele Baldelli’s sets.
With it’s laidback sunny grooves and cheery light horns, it manages to capture all things italo, cosmic, balearic in one go. Amazing! Not as well known as his 1984 smash ‘Kalimba de Luna’, ’Pagaia’ definitely is more fun and that is a fact. A fun fact.
