Single of the Day – Front 242 – Sample D
Hello everybody! I’ve just realised that this is my first post in May! Sorry about that! To make up for the lack of muzak goodness, I thought I would treat you all to a bit of early Front 242 – y’know, everybody’s favourite ‘Electronic Disco Terrorists’!. Yay!!!
Taken from their 1983 Endless Riddance EP, this slo-mo electronic track is a far cry from their later industrial-noise-electro sound, although I can’t resist a bit of Headhunter, this period of the Belgian EBM super group’s career is often regarded as their most fertile and experimental. Check out the band’s 1992 compilation Backcatalogue if you can, (although I think it is now out-of print), as it’s a great introduction to the band’s early works and it also includes the incredible Don’t Crash.
A loopy Numan-sounding classic, this is COSMIC Electronic Body Music – Belgium style!! Or something like that. Enjoy!
